Jodie Hardy featured artwork at ARC Gallery Friday 9/5

From jodiehardy.com:

My art work and writing investigate issues of the commodity self
through a lens I've coined sartorial semiotics. During the every
day practice of getting dressed, a negotiation transpires as one’s
“self” is hidden and displayed by the clothing codes adopted. This
creates an ambiguous space where one becomes both consumer
and consumed as these choices elicit judgments from others
regarding moral character, social status, and even intellect,
making the wrong “outfit” as dangerous now as it has always
been.

We've had the opportunity to hear about Jodie's vision for the Caution Suit from the beginning. Then we got to actually step inside her studio to see the work in progress-family only allowed ;).

Now you can come see Jodie's Caution Suit installation piece at the Womens Caucus for Art Regional Exibit: Various Media.

Opening reception
