If you don't know Michelle Obama, Get to know Michelle Obama

Can I say enough how much I love Michelle Obama? She is strong, she is kind, she is open, and she compliments Elizabeth on The View for being solid. A new kind of politics is coming.

She makes a very good point of saying that people are not used to strong women. While I do not think that Cindy McCain is the most terrible woman in the world, everything she seems to talk about on the campaign trail is about how much she loves her husband and how great her husband is and how much she supports her husband. If she's a business minded woman with her own accomplishments let's hear more about that. I'm not saying it's wrong to support your husband but shut up about it for once and talk about your own thoughts. And when she does talk about her thoughts I have this inkling that it's just too premeditated. And who do you suppose told her what to say?

I think strong women are able to speak on their feet and be ready for surprises. We can navigate high water and laugh when we act 'out of line' and it pisses someone off. We recognize we are not perfect, we support other women in becoming better at what they do, and we work in our relationships to love and be loved while maintaining our own identity.
